Kristi Shaffer is an educator who lives in Brighton, Michigan with her husband and 3 children. She has been tutoring students in math for 8 years, virtually for 3 years. She teaches all subjects ranging from basic arithmetic to Pre-Calculus. Kristi excels in 1:1 tutoring as she loves working closely with each student, adapting the lessons to meet their strengths and helping them navigate and overcome their struggles.

Before she became a tutor, Kristi was a high school math teacher at a highly regarded academic public high school in the suburbs of Detroit. She taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Statistics and Honors Pre-Calculus. She helped develop a self-evaluation model for students to help prepare themselves for upcoming tests.

In her free time, she enjoys working out and watching her kids grow in their respective sports.
